In this seminar we will return to the origins of innovative thinking on “psychosis” and “schizophrenia” at the nexus of neuropsychiatry and psychoanalysis, including the work of Otto Gross and Carl Jung in Zurich and Gaetan Clerambault and Jacques Lacan in Paris. Out of this we will attempt to develop an new integral clinical model on the symptom, structure, strategy, and cure of psychosis and schizophrenia.
Gross – Freud’s Ideogenic Factor
Jung – Psychogenesis of Mental Disease
Clerambault – Automatisms
Lacan – Questions Preliminary to Any Possible Treatment of Psychosis
