Recent events in America and Europe have thrown the question of politics into chaos. Join us as we examine the future politics of utopia. The Greek “utopia” means both no place and universal place. Why has utopia remained only dystopia – only the negative or nonexistent place? We will examine the few case examples of true topologies – or utopian logics – developed in the work of Plato, Hegel, Fourier, Badiou, Lacan, and Guattari and the work of analysis in extension developed at Analytica toward a politics of “generic sovereignty” and “universal singularity” at the foundation of a new form of political collective and social link.
